Hi,

I recently came across 2 papers mentioning ChIP-Western :typical ChIP for protein A followed by elution of proteins (as opposed to DNA) and Immunoblotting for protein B. This seems to be a way of identify protein interactions that are weak/transient and/or occurring solely on DNA-bound proteins.

Has anyone tried this? Can you comment on the advantages of using this as an alternative to Co-IP?

Thank you,

Rute
