I think I might be able to inherit a good optical table. However it has a 50mm hole pitch and this is not ideal for most of my work which tends to use 25mm pitch. Does anyone have experience of putting a bread board on top of such a table to ‘convert’ the hole pitch? I’m interested to know if there were any problems in terms of damping or any other issues that came up.
