I’m seeking information about how to change my author affiliation for an article published in the past. I reached out to the journal editor, who stated that the article is indexed by EBSCO and ERIC, so my affiliation is in their database.
Can anyone offer information about (1) whether changing the affiliation is possible and (2) how to go about getting it changed, if it’s possible to make the change?

I think it is not possible to change anything in a already published article. Did the journal use a wrong affiliation? Or did your affiliation change after publication or after submission? Usually the institution where the research was done is indicated as affiliation, sometimes with a note "Now with ..." if the affiliation has changed.
Wolfgang R. Dick Thank you for your reply. I graduated from my doc program in 2015, but I didn't go into a higher ed position until 2018, which is when I was hired for my current academic position. About 2-3 months before I signed my employment contract, I submitted 2 articles that I derived from my dissertation to a journal, and both were accepted. Then, about 1 month after I was hired, the two articles went to press. Whereas I conducted the research for my dissertation in 2015, I was "institutionless" at the time that I submitted the articles, so I listed my doctoral alma mater as my institutional affiliation for the publications. However, I was "institutioned" before the articles were published and did not know at the time that I could request a revision to my institutional affiliation before it went to press. (I was a green Ph.D. : -/) Regardless, a couple of weeks ago, some colleagues informed me that I could request said revision now. Thus, I posted my question in hopes of obtaining guidance for the process. Thank you again for your response, and I welcome any other information that you might have to offer. -Shannon
The indication of affiliation in your publication is obviously not completely wrong. You can write to the editor requesting to publish a correction in a subsequent issue of the journal (the retrospective modification of a publication should be excluded). But if I were the editor, I would refuse this request. I have often seen publications where the affiliation was stated at the time of submission, but where it had changed by the time of publication.
