Unfortunately, this does not contain all the districts for the 2009 census data. Many thanks though, this is a valued resource that I was be looking at for other datasets.

You may want to have a look at the Worldpop database http://www.worldpop.org.uk You will find raster data for Kenya at a fine spatial résolution. If you have a shapefile for the districts you can easily extract population size using basic GIS facilities.

Thanks Renaud, I'm actually using this approach right now. I'll make the data set available when I'm done.
