I have tried sol-gel method using the PEG 2000 and 20000 and the final result was yellow agglomerated granules on the surface without any connection to the substrate!
I have some limitations such as using Just Titanium IV butoxide or Titanium iso propoxide as the titanium precursor for the diposition.
could you suggest the modification for the method or a simple new method (something like wash-coat) solving the problem?
I did it for some mesoporous metal titanate films, but I know that it works perfectly for plain titania as well. I did TiO2 nanocrystals before, which is well disperse in Ethanol. It would be easily form good film on various substrate. The film is very thin, about 30nm by spin-coating.
