There is every possibility that a Mol. Bio. PhD graduate could join a neuroscience lab for a postdoc. I shifted from Pharmacology to Neurobiology for my first postdoc. To get the most from the experience and to be of immediate value to a new Principal Investigator it would be worth thinking how your existing skills could best be employed in a neuroscience lab.
