I am trying to study the thermodynamics of in situ intermetallic compounds, including Mg2Cu, MgO, formation in Mg/Cu composite. Can anybody suggest a good empirical research paper to better understand this topic?

Abstract: this paper, recent progress in magnesium matrix composite technologies is reviewed.The conventional and new processes for the fabrication of magnesium matrix compositesare summarized. The composite microstructure is subsequently discussed with respect tograin refinement, reinforcement distribution, and interfacial characteristics. The mechanicalproperties of the magnesium matrix composites are also reported.
