Dear colleagues, I'm looking for growth data with two or more observations per individual:
(Li, Ti), i=1,..,n >= 2, where L is some bio-characteristic (say size or weight, etc.) and T is age.
I need these kind of data to test a new class of stochastic growth models in form of transition density p(Li+1| Li; T+i, Ti), where Ti+1 and Ti are parameters of the distribution.
This class of growth models allows calculating growth transition matrices for pop. dynamics models with any resolution in size and time steps. The transitions from Li to Li+1 are dependent on AGE, that makes essential difference from growth models where probs of transition depend only on Li and time interval dt = T+i -Ti, without accounting for age. Clearly, patten of individual growth for most observations demonstrates that size-increments are age-dependent. Please note, data with only single observation per individual is not sufficient to obtain transition model.
Growth data of this kind could be available in some population studies, fisheries, etc.
For instance it could be a growth tagging experiment with aging individuals at last observation.
