See the standard output document: standard_output.pdf . It contains the List of Requested Variables, also available as standard_output.xls.

For your purpose you probably need high-frequency data eg. 6hourly model output at Plevels. http://dap.nci.org.au/thredds/remoteCatalogService?catalog=http://dapds00.nci.org.au/thredds/catalog/ua6/authoritative/CMIP5/CSIRO-BOM/ACCESS1-0/rcp45/6hr/atmos/6hrPlev/r1i1p1/latest/catalog.xml

gives you access to Australian CMIP5 models data. Hover data volume is large.

I think you downloaded a wrong data. There are multi-pressure levels data for the CMIP5 simulations. I suggest you find it carefully from the ESGF nodes.
