i'm working on Chironomidae (diptera) from french Guyana and i found one that i can't identify because the larvae didn't correspond at any genus already known and present in differents keys.
I can say that this one make part of the tribe Macropelopiini from the tanypodinae subfamily but i'm blocked on it because i don't find correspondances to the genus insides.

If it would be Holarctic I would say it is Ablabesmyia because of uneven teeth on pecten hypopharyngis and the shape of teeth on mandibles.
It was also my conclusion after more reflexion.. but still a special one !

Natalia Williams Thanks you very much, thoses pictures confirm my identification. I wasn't able to see the pores, however that's seems to be Ablabesmyia.
