Climate change has begun to transform life on Earth. Around the globe, seasons are shifting, temperatures are increasing and sea levels are rising.
The changing climate impacts society and ecosystems in a broad variety of ways. Friends, recently I had the privilege to translate the abstract of dear Pardis' thesis from English to Malay. The traditional method of paddy cultivation involves methanogens and methanotrophs and produces vast amounts of methane, that has more than 20X the effect of carbon dioxide on global warming and climate change. (Let's wait for Pardis to rest after her successful defense of thesis, and get back on RG.)

Range Extension of species into new areas is a good indicator of climate change, but it is confounded with species introductions which may mask the signal.
Dear All,
In Hungary at Gödöllő where I live except the last year, there was a permanent draught. All of our vegetables such as potatoes, onions, carrots, peas, beans, tomatoes and melons died off because we could not water them. Last year because of the too much rains with very disproportionate distribution the vegetables were rotten and even the grape wine died off as a consequence of high pathogen pressure. We are afraid that the agricultural productivity will not be suitable in the future because of this detrimental climate impact.
