Initially you have to characterize its morphology using microscope to obtain GENUS identification, then you need to use other techniques (molecular tools) but I think you cannot get specie identification from microscopic pictures only

I think morphologicaly it is more likely A.niger. Microscopic examination is suffice to give the right snswer.

I agree with the comments telling you, that at least for the determination of the genus, it would be best to prepare a microscopic slide mount. This is easy to do and only requires a probe or micro spatula, a slide, a droplet of mounting medium, and a compound microscope.

It may be Asp. niger, as other suggessted. But better confirm it it by observing its morphology under a microscope and try to match your observation with the pictorial description given in any fungal identification book. Good luck.

It looks like Aspergillus. But to be confirm, I suggest you to stain it with Lactophenol cotton blue and view under microscope. You just need to scrape off a little bit of it, apply the stain, cover with coverslip and view under microscope.

And the contamination might be due to lack of sterilization in any of the used material. Do check for sterilization of the glass goods you are using. I hope this helps. Good luck.

First of all, you need to specify media your mold growing on. Second of all, it is impossible to identify growing mold correctly using only one media.

For microscopic identification of the fungus, I suggest you to use a young culture on a PDA plate, so taht you can observe the hypae/conidia etc. more clearly. Good luck.

Macroscopically it looks like an Aspergillus spp. But as others have suggested, it's important to carryout lactophenol cotton blue staining and other microscopic examination. Also, consider the reverse growth structure, when matching your observation with the pictorial Atlas for fungal identification. If you must confirm the specie, there is need for molecular characterization. Good luck

The gross morphology gives resemblance to Aspergillus niger. However, I suggest you to please make wet mount preparation of the fungal growth in Lactophenol cotton stain or PHOL Stain or Narayan stain and study the morphology of the fungus.
