We are going to purchase FT-NIR for measure the proximate analysis (ash, moisture, oil, protein & fiber) in fish feed and feed raw materials. When I search the product, I met one FT-NIR, brand from Shimadzu (see the attachment) comparatively the price is also half with other brands (Thermo, Foss, Unity, Brucker etc.). Do you have expertise to comment or give the guidance to me select the suitable product for above application?

I would say that the Nicolet IS50 is a good choice ... is very versatile, has several accessories that allow you variety of features, it is modular (allows you to acquire the remaining parts later). you even have access to an extensive database.

The best way could be to analyse the same 10 samples on different devices and develop calibration model. RMSECV values could finally compared.
