People will be seeing a lot of posters, and ones with a lot of text will not catch their eye. Include figures (especially those which include color photographs) when possible to illustrate your results and methodology.

Elaborative pictures, pathways, photographs are always eye catching, their use can make your poster more attractive. You should also stick to the content. Avoid being very descriptive.
If it is work, give more focus to data. Little Introduction and lots of data with proper interpretation will be good. Use little text in the poster. All the data should have heading on the top and conclusion at the bottom. Use only relevant data on the post. Hope this helps and good luck
