How does time impact on effect size? 2 sceanrios -

1. If a 6 month intervention program catering for 30 students has an effect size of 0.4, and a seperate 12 month intervention program catering for 60 students has an effect size of .8, can we say they have similiar effect sizes?

2. If a 10 week intervention program (with an effect size of .2) is extrapolated over the whole school year, and therefore includes 4 x 10 week blocks, can we predict an effect size of 4 x 0.2 = 0.8?

Thanks
