I knew, there is a CMC value for each and every surfactants at the micelles formation with HLB values.But, i wanted to gather more experienced details regarding diameter of the micelles which have spherical in shape that go with any factors of them. I am going to use micelles as soft template to synthesis micro-particles larger in size.
Size and, more important, shape can be predicted on the basis of the Israelachvili packing parameter p =V_0/(a_o l). V_0 is the Volume of the alkyl part of the surfactant l the lengh of the chain and a_0 the surface area which can be obtained by Langmuir trough experiments. The other two parameters can be calculated on the basis of the Tanford formulas.

Finally the size depends of course also on the amount of added oil.
