Dear Amanda, I would not recommand to cut Golgi blocks on Cryostate or freezing microtomes because the blocks have a very firm cositency and if you freez them you runnig the danger that the sections will crumble. i have made good experiences with vibratome sections after Golgi silver impragnation. You can cut 80 and 100 µm very easy. If you don't have the possibilty to cut  on a vibratome than you should  cut not thicker then 60 µm and you should do this  very, very slowly. I recommand to mount the sections on gelatine coated slides.  Good luck and best wishes, Ute
