Can we use Soxhlet for extracting the secondary metabolites from the Actinobacteria fermented broth? Soxhlet is generally being used for dry/solid materials. If we adopt this to actinobacteria does it work?

Not only plant materials, Soxhlet apparatus could be used to extract the secondary metabolites from any of the dry solid materials. But, selection of the solvent has to be specific according to the target metabolize.

Soxhlet method is useful and effective method. but the temperature is noticeable one for extraction. during extraction some metabolites may decompose or losses its nature. some volatile compounds may vaporized. so i suggest that extraction with low temperature(
