Yes you can. In my experiments, I was not able to find any major differences in expression profiles or differentiation capacity of MC3T3-E1 between sources of fetal bovine serum. However, within each experiment, you have to use the same serum for control and treatment groups when you compare the results for statistical significance.

Yes you can, but I would advice to compare both products in paralell to ensure no differences in differentiation capacity.
