Can we use Quartz Cuvette for E.Coli measurements at OD 600 in UV-Vis spectrophotometer?
Yes. You could also use glass or plastic cuvettes.
Dear Navdeep Raghuwanshi ,
No problem, you can use all types of cuvettes including quartz at 660 nm. The rough wavelength ranges for the most often used types of cuvettes are:
Plastic cuvettes can be used for wavelength range of 380–780 nm.
Glass cuvette has an optimal wavelength range of 340–2500 nm.
Quartz cuvettes excel at transmitting UV light, and can be used for wavelengths ranging from 190 to 2500 nm.
See for more details about the choice of cuvettes:

Best regards.
Thank you very much sir
I would say use the plastic cuvette for taking OD of bacterial culture. You will need to take multiple absorbance while, and its safer to use the plastic ones, as it works at the same time is cheap and less prone to damage.
