Dear , now a days polymer joining by FSW (solid state joining process) is new trends in mostly labs . yes it is possible to join metals and polymer together but firstly you need to findout specific application as per requirement of the metals together which kind of polymer going to use. so in my opinion think something different then only can get new work. also read out some article and my previous answered about same questions.
