Can we sterilize salt like potassium dichromate by autoclaving with other medium for bacterial growth? Or it may be degraded at high temperature? Need your suggestions. Thank you.
You need to check the nature of the reaction if it is exothermic or endothermic. In case of an exothermic reaction, the solubility is lower at the higher temperatures.
Further, you need to see if it precipitates after autoclaving. If it does, then you definitely cannot do it.
