The answer is yes. Root canal treatment can be performed on teeth with various anatomies including taurodont teeth and any other complicated root canal anatomies. The treatment is not very hard but needs special attention during treatment.
the treatment of such teeth are tricking it nee a good knowledge of the root canals anatomy, and it differ according to different teeth and different sizes, so it need more time and care not to end up with perforation during access cavity prep. we managed to treat a tooth of 9 year old girl suffered from repeated infection and pus discharged from labial sinus, her dentist failed to negotiate the canals well beside small perforation in the pulp chamber. the case was treated by revascularization with successful result over two year follow up
Yes as mentioned by the other colleagues, teeth with taurodontism can be RC treated but a good knowledge of the anatomy is required besides the use of NiTi instruments for curved areas.
According to my experience it's challenging to find, shape and clean the root canals in taurodontism. The anatomy also differs as compared to the routine cases. Ideally microscope and knowledge on anatomy would give satisfactory outcomes.
