It is obvious that we can use XRD to measure residual stress. but I would like to know that:
Is there correlation between hydrogen embrittlement with FWHM?
Thank you in advance for your help.
In the Williamson–Hall method, there is a relation between FWHM (ˇ), crystallite size (t)
Hi Ali,
you can measure only hydrogen containing phases by XRD, not the hydrogen itself. If something causes a change in FWHM you need to be sure that it is only hydrogen, that does it. Eliminate all other dactors influencing FWHM and then you can try.
Regards,
