On the basis of throughput (Data rate) mode selection is available in the commwlan80211b (Wi-Fi) Simulink model. In this model the 1, 2, 5.5, 11 Mbps data rate with respective variation in channel, modulation scheme is discussed. But this simulink model is available in Matlab 2014b and it is removed from recent versions of Matlab.
