I need to make a plasma device for my study but the gas cylinders are too expensive so I search for a method that doesn't need gas.. is there a way for the?
You can use ambient air to generate plasma . It does not require any gas. What application you are looking for? Your choice of gas and type of plasma will depend on that.
You may refer below for atmospheric pressure air plasma

This is either a simple or deep question. If simple, then the questioner wants to know if bottled gas is the only way to go to create plasma. Bottled gas provides several benefits, not the least of which is repeatability, but it is a cost. However, in this case, as pointed out above, if you can tolerate the variability, atmospheric air can be used so you do not need gas cylinders. If a deep question, then ionized matter IS required for plasma, but this can be almost any type of matter--solid, liquid, or gas. As an example, a vacuum arc upon opening the contacts draws a metal vapor plasma from the solid contacts.
I'd be curious to hear from the author which meaning he had.
Ultrashort lasers can be used to create solid density plasma within a solid dielectric to form sub micron structures. Infact, nanoripple formation on semiconductors and metal surface is also creating transient high density plasmas.
