i want to know is there any special curriculum for autistic children? and if yes i want to know what points i should consider when framing curriculum for preschool autistic children.
At the preschool level, ASD-specific curriculum are often focused on the fundamentals of communication, basic social skills, task persistence, and developing functional independence. There are existing curricula available, but most have been for Western populations and may need to be tailored somewhat to be culturally appropriate for non-Western populations. That said, if it would be useful to you, I would be happy to suggest a couple of my favorites.
Need to take a look at Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teaching strategies. They already include quite an extensive range of objectives for students with ASD at an early childhood stage.
Hi, there are a number of ABA programmes that can facilitate in assessing the individual learning needs of the child and teaching the skills that are absent. The VB-MAPP is a well-known and popular programme that could be adapted for particular needs in different cultures. Another newer programme that is looking very promising is the PEAK ABA programme. Just Google either of these terms is you're interested and you'll find a plethora of information.
