Most of the AI Algorithms are based on the the living things behavior including humans, animals, and insects related with day to day activities. Some of the recently developed AI algorithms performing better than living things brain and now applied in medical fields and other applied sciences and engineering fields. I think it is high time we should think renaming Artificial Intelligence (AI) as Alternative Intelligence (AI) or by other better name.

It may be time to create sub-specifications of "Artificial" Intelligence. Much like ancient nomad humans that came upon a shore - all they could do was call it "water". However, we pull up the same shore on Google Maps, and we can tell what it is (i.e. lake, river, bay, sound, sea, ocean).
Artificial Intelligence was sufficient when it was just humans and "something else". I think we should keep the overall topic as "Artificial", but create official stratifications such that anyone (acedemic or applied - young or old) can recognize it.
For me, this concept is better, AI give an idea that realy doesnt exist

In my opinion, it is just about semiotics. I think all new technologies were made by human intelligence to improve human life. That's why I suppose that the employment of "artificial" intelligence is distinctive. I think that this intelligence is not "alternative" because it is all-related to the human brain and could be complementary and/or necessary to human life but not alternative (to human intelligence, brain, life..).
It is just a philosophy...

In my opinion, it would be good to call AI as "Artificial Brain Machine" (ABM) or "Artificial Brain System" as this name explains both their formation (by humans) and their function whatever the source (animals, plants, etc) of intelligence would be. I am thankful to Dr Indra Prakash Sir for initiating such a good discussion.

This sounds like good fodder for a master's or PhD paper. I remember when I got my MBA, many of the courses focused on giving names that things, that, as a technical person, I knew to be true, but never knew what to call them. They don't teach any cosmic concepts in MBA Organization Theory or Micro/Macro Economics, but by orgnanizing and naming these concept, they give us, as humans, a way to think and cooperate as a group and make advances that are useful to the group. Maybe its time we did that for AI.
But I also recognize it could be too early for this. It could do more harm than good to try to plant our stake and try to organize AI into functions that serve humanity while the technology is in its infant steps. Maybe we need to see how the market place uses AI before we waste our time specualting on all the things that AI can do, but that no one cares about.
