The Minimalist Program is actually better fitting for achieving your goal. It is intended to be a general (abstract) framework through which all languages of the world may be described (explained) in terms of their syntactic structures and transformations.

Minimalist approach is potentially applicable to all languages . Yet, it may improve our understanding of the syntactic differences between languages . Minimalist approach has been presented as a ‘project’ known as Minimalist Project (MP) , which implies that it’s scope extends beyond one particular language. Although I am a sociolinguist , I do belibe that application of the project in as many languages as possible may revolutionize research in syntax.

I think, minimalist approach must be applicable to all languages. If we assume that principles are the same across all languages, then theoretically minimalist approach must work for all. Results will of course not be consistent with English but yes you will get a peculiar set of data for every other language. I think, you need to go on with it.

Of course! You can use a standard MP model with multiple specifiers or a cartographic approach (Rizzi, Cinque, ecc.).
