We are planning to set a pig model for colitis but we would like to reduce the level of discomfort for the animals by administering DSS with an oral probe instead than with a cathether. we are planning to administer DSS for 5 days to mini-pigs (dose 1.25g/kg). Does any of you know whether these concentrations are adequate for this animal model?

Thanks for all your advice and help.
