As stated above, vacuum drying may be used in order to isolate nanoparticles from volatile solvents. Naturally, residual salts or large surfactants will remain. As a warning, sometimes there occurs agglomeration of the nanoparticles during the drying process which is very difficult to reverse even with sonication and other techniques. Often, however, the material may be redispersed successfully.
we generally use vacuum drying for nanoparticles to remove the moisture, so that they can be stable for long period of time. we won't use this technique for nanoparticles preparation.
