In a simulation, I found laminar flow is causing divergence, but when I turn on viscus flow modeling the simulation ran fairly well.

I have been thinking that laminar flow is a simplifies the solution and hence help faster convergence.

I think this may not be unusual.

Can turbulence modeling rather improve solution convergence as compered to a laminar case?

Folks please share your experiences and any insights.

Thank You.
