Naturally, metabolic activity and performance of mitochondrial function affect the destiny of embryonal process. Mitochondria's numerical grade, the structural alterations and distrubiton of mitochondrial function are directly related to the oocyte metabolism. It is reported that the mitochondrial alterations and ultrastructural situation are very crucial for oocyte maturation and embryo development.
