a mixture contains 45mL of HBSS and 5mL of anti-anti and is filtered, and then stored at 4 degrees for about 6 months. It doesn't show any visible contamination, but freezes instead. What does it mean?
Reagents such as PBS and HBSS were also stored along with these solutions, and they were fine. So I don't doubt any manipulation in temperature.
Is the whole solution turned to ice, or are you just seeing crystals in it? Maybe the chemicals crystallized out of the solution.
i am observing large crystals in the solution. But is this phenomenon normal?
If one or more of the compounds was near its solubility limit when the solution was prepared at room temperature, it could crystallize out when the solution is stored at a lower temperature, at which the concentration is above the solubility limit.
