Just feed it with basic broth supplemented with chitin and incubate for different period of time, then analyse the enzymatic activity of the chitinase. It is worth testing. It might exhibit chitinase activity since it known to be parasite of other fungi and invertebrates.

I have conducted chitinase assay on L.helminthicola and it was observed that L.helminthicola is able to produce chitinase. 

Further studies/ research based on this experiment can help me to upgrade my writings.
