I have been using Macherey Nagel Gel extraction kit for eluting my DNA bands from agarose gel for a while. The columns in this kit is over but all the reagents are still available to at least carry out 6-7 gel extraction. Order has been placed for a new gel elution kit but it would take a few days to arrive. Meanwhile we had a Plasmid mini prep kit from axygen where the very first buffer is over but many columns are still remaining. Can I use these columns for my gel extraction with Nagel kit reagents? or there are difference between the columns in each kit. They all look the same.
