I will try to explain my concern to make it as clear as possible. We now that texture analysis can discriminate between lesions that are visually very similar (eg. brain tumors). Imagine a visually homogeneous texture area, if we divide that area in half both parts will be visually the same. But what if we apply texture analysis and try to find differences between the two apparently similar parts. I mean, isn't texture features capable of quantifying invisible texture properties? A texture area that is homogenous can then turn inhomogeneous if we reduce or magnify that area. Isn't texture dependent of the image magnification? I think that a visually homogeneous texture can show some texture differences in some scale, has anyone experimented that? I hope to hear some opinions.
