Yes. 

Benzoic acid (2.00 g, 16.38 mmol) was dissolved in dry CH2Cl2 (100 mL) under N2 atmosphere and phenol(1.54 g, 16.38 mmol), DCC (5.07 g, 24.55mmol), DMAP (0.40 g, 8.19mmol) was slowly added and stirred for 8 hr at rt. The reaction was quenched by adding water and extracted with CH2Cl2. The organic layer was washed with water and brine, dried over MgSO4, removed by filtration. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give a yellow solid. The solid was chromatographed on silica gel
