Can someone suggest a good paper that discuss the direction fixing in beach profile numerical models ?

There are many different models that can be used to model beach profile evolution, one of the critical factors in this fixing the direction for the sediment movement. This will determine if a particular wave event will cause erosion or accretion. Can someone suggest a detailed study on this aspect.
