Greetings.

I am staining monocyte derived DCs with a panel that includes Lin (CD3, 16, 19, 20, 56).

Weirdly, I get a population of HLA-DR+ CD11c+ cells that are also Lin+.

Given that CD11c should only be expressed on macrophages (but that's in tissues), neutrophils (those I separated by Ficoll at the start of the experiment), some B-cells (presumably did not adhere to plastic and hence were washed out at the start of the experiment) and monocytes (my obvious target group), I am hoping these CD11c+ cells are indeed monocyte derived DCs. But I am baffled as to why they are Lin+.

Anyone can offer insight?

Thanks very much :)
