Can we use ionic liquid as extraction solvent in LCMS?

why cant we use ionic liquid in LCMS because first the liquid passed through the LC column which have similar principle of HPLC and then only we are passing the sample in MS part.

How to prepare ionic liquid and how to use the ionic liquid for extraction ?., can we use the ionic liquid containing sample for LC-MS?

I m planning to use ionic liquid for extraction but i donot know how to prepare the ionic liquid and also i m having doubt, whether we can use sample containing ionic liquid for LC-MS anlaysis.
