I am working on a nutristat operation for the production of a fungal enzyme. Has anyone worked using the load cell in the bioreactor? How would it be useful in designing a fermentation run?
I understand the load cell's usage. From what I have seen in articles, and from observation of my peers who perform a chemostat, I understand that they have been using the bio-load cell to enable setting up an efficient dilution rate (indirect feedback loop). However, in my case, as the bioprocess proceeds, the culture broth's viscosity shoots up due to enzyme accumulation and mycelial growth. So, the density of the culture media and the feed solutions are definitely different. Would the load cell based dilution have a method to counteract this change?
