Can someone advise on the 5-Fluorouracil injection (i.p.) into mice?

I am planning to use 5-FU injections into my mice. I have to inject 150 mg/KG body weight - since the solubility in PBS or physiological NaCl is quite low people are also preparing solutions with DMSO. Does anybody have experience with this issue and could give me some advices how to prepare the stock solution, how to do the dilutions (which vehicle) - or can it also be injected in DMSO - I am a bit afraid to induce kind of peritonitis after injecting DMSO solutions?

Boil it to increase the solubility limit. Then cool to body temperature just before you inject. It will stay in solution at higher concentration that you could normally achieve for long enough to do the injections.
