I have a protein stock that is stored in 1.5 mL eppendorf tubes that I originally (approx 1 year ago) aliquoted at 300mL/tube. I'm curious if kept in the closed tubes for long term storage, can the ice sublimate away, changing the total volume of the aliquot and thereby changing the concentration of the protein sample? My lab has been arguing back and forth about this for a day or two but we can't come to consensus.
