My group works on the pentameric ring motor of the bacteriophage phi29. We are trying to get some bulk assays off the ground to study it's in vitro enery use (MESG-based ATPase assays) but while the data collection has been well planned out, our modeling is lacking.

My background is largely in Michaelis Menten and single-site enzyme kinetic modeling. While we've gotten some very preliminary measurements using mixed inhibition ideas out of Fundamentals of Enzyme Kinetics by Cornish-Bowden, we're running into stumbling blocks moving into mutlimeric enzyme kinetics modeling. I've looked around and found multiple possiblities (e.g. MWC, KNF, etc.) but I'm having trouble finding a solid starting point.

Is there a book/text/review/set of papers that is considered a well-designed primer for this kind of kinetic analysis? Further, are there experts I should reach out to for additional information?
