What is your personal opinion - can rational inquiry and religious conviction co-exist? Can a true, hardcore scientific researcher be religious? What might be the benefits or drawbacks. Provide an unbiased justification in your answer. 

We all know that many leading scientists contend that these two cannot coexist, however, one may beg to differ. Some might feel that they have connections. If you feel so, let others know where the connection is and how they can be established.
