Dear all, I have a PLS-SEM modeling issue: One of the exogenous variables has formative indicators. The indicator' scales are continuous from 0% to 100%. And some indicators have opposite directions, e.g. IND1 - 0% (worst) to 100% (best); IND2 - 0% (Best) to 100% (worst). In this case:
1) Can the scale be continuous?
2) What about the indicators with the opposite scale directions, as above?
3) Will the modeling software SmartPLS mix things up with this scale design?

Dear sir, what I found: 1) The scales can be continuous. 2) And it is better to have scales in the same direction based on my tests. But nobody else shared their own experiences about working with indicators with opposite direction scales. Best regards!
