Hello Everyone

I am using a categorical variable as a mediator, can Mplus use to calculate categorical variables as a mediators without creating dummy variables? which regression model I have to run on it? and which results should I report for it? Please give some recommendation as i saw some answer in research gate they have given direct algorithm to calculate mediators in Mplus i need some theoretical supports.
