Most examples of MW heating in COMSOL uses mode with rectangular waveguide for wave excitation. But if I do not use any waveguide, and expose the magnetron antenna into the oven, then can I use coax port condition to simulate this situation? What measures should I take to prevent damage of magnetron caused by waves reflected at the walls?
One assumes that the a standing wave is set up in the chamber and the energy is reflected back and forth until it is absorbed by the load, i.e. food or liquid? Anyways, to check on the reflected power, can you put in a bi-directional coaxial coupler that measures forward and reflected power. You'll then know the VSWR and how much power is coming back to the magnetron. If too much is coming back, then a circulator into a load would absorb the reflected power.

Again, putting a circulator in a load will limit choice of load and efficiency? what do you think?
About VSWR, we cant predict our load, and I am confused here, can you give me some more idea about VSWR in this case (MW Heating) please?

Try to use CST Microwave Studio for this work.
And use a waveguide port for the simulations.
That should do.
I havedeveloepd and validated model assuimng the magnetron as a coaxial MW feed source in doemstic microwave oven. If you really want to inculde magnetron into the calcualation than you will be using PIC software as suggested by Hitesh.
