Can LPS induce nitric oxide in HaCaT cells?

Hi everyone,

I would like to know whether the treatment of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) will induce the production of nitric oxide in HaCaT cells.

Hello Dineshwar Sugumaran

NO plays a substantial role in the immune system, and NO production induced by LPS occurs via the activity of the inducible NO synthase (iNOS). Furthermore, the signaling pathway of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) is involved in the regulation of iNOS and COX-2 expression in LPS-stimulated HaCaT cells.
